Outpatient Counseling Services...We face many challenges in our day-to-day lives and sometimes these challenges become overwhelming and it is hard to handle them on our own.
How We Serve
Our staff includes counselors with special training who work with children, adolescents, adults and families. Our counselors are experienced in many areas, including:
- Depression and moodiness
- Serious anger problems
- Divorce or family crisis
- Attention deficit issues
- Substance abuse
- Suicidal talk or behavior
- History of abuse or neglect
- Adjustment issues related to loss of parent or placement outside the home (foster care, adoption, etc.)
- Recent loss of family member
Services Provided
- Assessment-Complete evaluation to determine a diagnosis for treatment. An individual treatment plan is designed for each person.
- Individual Therapy-One-on-one sessions with a licensed or license eligible clinician to work on personal problems.
- Family Therapy-Sessions may include the entire family to work on issues resulting in conflict.
- Group Therapy-Clinician works with individuals in a group setting to focus on similar problems.
Individual and family therapy sessions can take place in the home as well as at the Family Services office. The location of services will be agreed upon during the initial assessment.
If you are Medicaid eligible, Volunteers of America of Oklahoma will contact the Oklahoma Health Care Authority to request approval for services. If you have private insurance, please contact your provider.
