fillingoutpaperwork.gifPayee Services ... This program provides payee services for individuals who meet HUD homeless requirements. To meet these requirements the individuals must be living in shelters, transitional housing, on the streets, in abandoned buildings, or in vehicles. Volunteers of America of Oklahoma assists these individuals with managing their money. The program is offered in Tulsa.

Through a generous grant in 2007 from the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, we were able to expand this program to include others who are in desperate need of payee services.

As part of the Tulsa Continuum of Care network, Volunteers of America of Oklahoma assists homeless individuals with disabilities to obtain permanent supportive housing.  Offering more than a roof over their heads, our program emphasizes case management tailored to meet the needs resulting from the disability and to connect with available community resources.  Although some served through the program will always need case management because of their disability, many are graduated to self-sufficiency.  Please visit our volunteer opportunities page to find out how you can become involved.
