2017 Rhinestone Cowboy News Release
Tulsa, Oklahoma (March 7, 2017) — Volunteers of America Oklahoma will host their tenth annual fundraising event, Rhinestone Cowboy: Seasons of Laughter and Love, Friday, April 7, 2017 at the historic Cain's Ballroom in Downtown Tulsa. Rodeos in the late 19th century represented a community wide celebration of the hard work that charted the American West. Rhinestone Cowboy: Seasons of Laughter and Love will honor this fun western tradition by proudly celebrating the dedicated service provided by Volunteers of America in "Helping America's most vulnerable."
"There is something for everyone at Rhinestone Cowboy including great food, great dancing, for a great cause," says Volunteers of America Oklahoma Director Emeritus, Diane Potts.
The doors open at 5:45 p.m. with refreshments and a wine pull followed by dinner catered by Palace Café. The evening will include live and silent auctions, a raffle pull and an evening of country-western music and dancing with the Paul Bogart Band straight from Nashville. The 2017 Premier Volunteer Award will be presented to Cherokee Nation Businesses and the 2017 Heart of Courage will be awarded to one client of Volunteers of America.
In addition to creating a fun and memorable evening for our guests, Rhinestone Cowboy raises awareness of the organization's programs and services that help Oklahoma's most vulnerable citizens including veterans, the aging, the homeless, and the disabled. Rhinestone Cowboy works to create an entertaining and relaxing western event so guests enjoy their time with friends and remember the program's initiatives passionately.
