Dave Goldman to Serve on NAORP Board

Volunteers of America Oklahoma announced that Dave Goldman, Senior Director of Support Services, was recently elected to the National Association of Organizational Representative Payees (NAORP) Board of Directors. NAORP, through advocacy and education, assists its member organizations who represent approximately 12,000 individuals receiving payee services nationally. Goldman, founding Director of Payee Services at Volunteers of America Oklahoma, attributes his appointment to the NAORP Board to his thirteen years of experience in direct support of individuals with mental illness.

Volunteers of America Oklahoma’s Payee Services Program currently provides financial management assistance to approximately 700 individuals at risk of homelessness across Oklahoma. Ninety-seven percent are living with the daily challenges of mental illness, substance abuse and other disabilities.

Volunteers of America Oklahoma serves over 2,000 individuals monthly, providing assistance to individuals at risk of homelessness, affordable senior housing and residential support for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to the generous support of community volunteers and contributors, our mission to help America’s most vulnerable continues. For more information, please visit www.voaok.org.
