Volunteers of America Oklahoma’s Annual Fundraising Event
Celebrates at the Historic Cain’s Ballroom
The glitzy side of the American West will come alive this spring at the eighth annual Rhinestone Cowboy – A Tribute to the Glamorous West. We’ll be tipping our cowboy hats and dancing the two-step to OneDrive on Thursday, May 1st at the Cain’s Ballroom. All proceeds benefit Volunteers of America Oklahoma, a ministry of service that includes more than 400 paid, professional employees dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.
Dan Higgins is the 2015 Rhinestone Cowboy event chairman and Renee Huffaker returns as event co-chair. The event kicks off with refreshments and a wine pull followed by dinner, live auction, raffle pull and western music. Volunteers of America Oklahoma will award the 2015 Premier Volunteer Award to the Williams Companies Print Services team.
“Mike Palmer and the Print Services team at Williams Companies Print Services provide services to many of the local non-profits in the Tulsa community,” said Pam Richardson, President and CEO, Volunteers of America Oklahoma. “The Williams Print team's heart is a heart of service to our community.”
In addition to creating a fun, memorable evening for our guests, Rhinestone Cowboy raises awareness of the organization’s programs and services which help Oklahoma’s most vulnerable citizens. Volunteers of America Oklahoma’s goal is for Rhinestone Cowboy guests to remember the event fondly and our programs passionately—at the end of the evening and for days to come.
