Helping America’s most vulnerable®

2016 Spread the Warmth Blanket Drive

Each January Volunteers of America Oklahoma partners with local companies to share blankets with Oklahomans in need of warmth. The Oklahoma winter temperatures dip well below freezing and there are many who need help keeping warm.

For the past few years, emergency shelters in the Tulsa area have been reporting record numbers of individuals staying overnight in the winter months. You can make a difference by donating a new or gently-used blanket in January. All blankets will go to individuals served by Volunteers of America Oklahoma® and distribution partners. If you are interested in becoming a distribution partner, please contact the Development Coordinator at 918-307-3016.

Blanket drive distribution partners for 2016 include: Emergency Infant Services, Family and Children's Services, Youth Services of Tulsa, Manna House, Night Light Tulsa - homeless outreach, Tulsa County Emergency Shelter, Gospel Rescue Mission, New Hope Oklahoma, Just the Beginning, and Iron Gate Tulsa.
