Veterans Employment Services
Volunteers of America Oklahoma Veterans Employment Services assists unemployed veterans to achieve meaningful employment with job placement services. Barriers to stable employment are overcome with referrals to housing, mental health treatment, medical care, vocational training and assistance acquiring military benefits earned.
Services are tailored to meet the needs of veterans with disabilities, financial challenges, legal issues, loss of veteran benefits or experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The Veterans Employment team has solutions to assist in helping overcome obstacles and help veterans achieve stable employment and self sufficiency.
What is the process for help?
The first step is an assessment meeting to determine veteran status, needs, job skills and barriers to employment. If eligibility is met, the Veterans Employment team will assist with:
Job Search, Resume Assistance and Interviewing Skills
Employer Referrals
Vocational Training
Transportation
Job Retention Services
Work Tools and Clothing

Employment services are provided to veterans in Creek, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Rogers, Tulsa and Wagoner counties
