VOA announces $2.1 Million Investment to Support Mothers and Children in Southwest Oklahoma
LAWTON, Okla. — Volunteers of America Oklahoma (VOAOK) announced they’re investing $2.1 million to support mothers and children in southwest Oklahoma. The nonprofit announced the award in a press release. It was made possible due to a combined effort from the Health Resources and Services Administration Rural Communities Opioid Response Program – Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (RCORP-NAS) and the Humana Foundation. RCORP-NAS provided a $1.5 million grant while Humana committed $600,000. The money will be used to bring Family-Focused Recovery (FFR) to the region.
